When I was a teenager, my father decided to leave my home country of Italy to join our family with his siblings in the land of opportunity, the United States. I often dreamt about the beauty of my home country and the desire to express the passion I had for such beauty drove me to pursue a career as a professional artist. Once I learned of all the opportunities an artist could have in the United States, I embraced my new home and found there is also beauty here.
Pursuant with my drive to become as matchless of an artist as possible, I studied different techniques by regularly visiting museums, attending different schools, reading literature and participating in workshops. Through these practices I have learned the power of the classical arts and continue them to this day as art is my truest passion. The masterpieces by Valazques, Sargent, Joaquin Sorolla, Cavaraggio, Titian, Rembrandt, Cassat, DaVinci and more are the driving force when executing my paintings and fuel my aspirations as an artist.
Currently, I convey my artistic abilities not only on the canvass, but in many different ways such as fashion design, interior decoration, music and culinary arts. Participation in these types of expressions gives me additional insight into my paintings and, being trilingual gives me the opportunity to study the arts in three different languages: Italian, English, and Spanish.
After many years of dedication I continue to feverishly pursue a higher education in the arts and, have become an assistant teacher in one of my art schools. Additionally, I belong to many art associations where I display my portrait, figure, landscape and still life oil paintings. The recognition my works have received and accomplishments I have made are rewarding but, an artist should always pursue higher achievement and I plan to do this through a better understanding of my own skills and the language of art. |
